At Dixie Precision , we use all types of compounds for our roll coverings-rubber, silicone, Viton, fiber, urethane. We carefully examine your application to determine the compound for your rolls. And we also finish the rolls to customer specifications. Our finishings range from a highly polished straight finish to intricately grooved patterns.

Dixie Precision is a complete machine shop, we have the capabilities to design and build new cores, repair damaged cores and to even rebuild rolls to meet your specifications. We also provide cast urethane products as well as a complete line of machine shop services.

Dixie Precision is great. They use to be Southern Roll. They have covered and recovered rubber roll and roller for us. They also grind and regrind urethane rolls and rollers. They are the best. They also do journal repair and bearing work. They are on the North side of Birmingham. I think there is another company in Alabama that refurbishes conveyor rolls and roller but I think they are in South Alabama too far from Jefferson County.
